Student Resources
Founded in 1918 in New York as the American Section of a French organization, Société de Chimie Industrielle has grown into a vibrant, independent nonprofit at the forefront of the chemical and life sciences industries. We bring together CEOs, scientists, investors, and policymakers through our acclaimed monthly luncheons and dynamic speaker series. We celebrate leadership and innovation with signature events such as the prestigious International Palladium Medal and the Excellence Awards Luncheon.
Committed to shaping the future, we have provided more than $750,000 in scholarships and grants to nearly 150 promising students. Through these programs, Société fosters community, supports emerging talent, and champions scientific progress. Our longstanding support of the American Chemical Society Undergraduate Scholars Program helps academically gifted students pursue degrees in the chemical sciences. We also sponsor undergraduate researchers at New York University, Columbia University Department of Chemistry, and Columbia’s Department of Chemical Engineering, where students gain hands-on research experience and mentorship in top-tier academic environments.
Students who sign up for our email list may register for free to attend our periodic web-based career panels and networking events. Also open to students at no charge, space permitting, are our monthly webinars and in-person meetings in New York City. And on request, we can put students in touch with industry professionals who can answer students' career-related questions.
